Change of name

Legislation regarding name changes is authorised by the act of the Løgting no. 41 from 26 March 2002 concerning personal names.

Since 1 January 2014, matters relating to personal names have been administered by the Environmental Agency (Umhvørvisstovan). For further details, call 34 24 00 or click here.
